We all want to have easily accessible hot water, right? Preferably it will come out of the faucet quickly after we turn it on, but that isn’t the case in all homes, is it? This is part of the problem with conventional water heaters. You have to wait for the water to make it from the water heater to the faucet, which in some homes can be quite a distance.

This is where tankless water heaters come in handy.

If you never heard of these devices before, they are an alternative to old-fashioned water heaters. A regular water heater works by heating up a tank full of water to a temperature of around 120 Fahrenheit which then travels through the pipes to your faucet.

With a tankless water heater, the water is heated on-demand, near the faucet, as soon as you turn it on. This will make the process a lot quicker, and it will save you energy as well since the water heater only runs when you need hot water.
